Coronavirus pandemic in Italy

Italy was one of the most heavily hit countries by the coronavirus pandemic in Europe. You probably all saw the terrible news coming from our country, while we desperately tried to contain the spread of the virus in 2020.

But there wasn’t just a personal toll in human lives that hit us. Closing down shops and museums with limiting travel options hit our tourism and service sector heavily. This included our ability to bring potential buyers to municipalities with 1 euro houses.

Today, we are happy and relieved to see that cases have dropped as low as early October 2020. Vaccinations are rolling in and people can move around in near normality. All of the Italian regions are currently in the white category, which is the lowest alert possible on the risk scale currently in place.

What does that mean for travellers?

  1. You can travel inside the country without particular limitations.
  2. You have to wear masks inside closed spaces and in crowded outside spaces (like markets etc.).

But what about those who want to enter Italy from the outside?

Visiting Italy and seeing 1 Euro Houses
