ASSOARMA, ARMY AND CIVIL PROTECTION, DONATE MASKS AND FOOD TO THE CITY’S MOST NEEDY FAMILIES

After several stages throughout Sicily also landed in Troina, one of the four municipalities of the island declared “red zone” during the Covid-19 emergency, the “Together for Solidarity” campaign, promoted by the Peripheral Council of ASSOARMA of Palermo, in collaboration with the Military Command Army in Sicily and the Regional Civil Protection. A military vehicle with masks and basic foodstuffs arrived in the city yesterday morning to be distributed to families in need, among those most affected by the difficulties arising from the emergency.

The distribution, carried out by the Municipal Civil Protection with the collaboration of the Association of Fighters and Veterans of Troina, saw the delivery of food bags for the shelter of the Capuchin Fathers and for 50 Families of Troy, identified among the weakest by the municipal Social Services.
The foodstuffs were offered by the Food Bank and LIDL Italy, the masks were donated by the Department of Civil Protection of the Presidency of the Sicilian Region, while chocolate bars were created for the occasion by the Chocolate Protection Consortium of Modica IGP, in collaboration with the Sicilian Center Sturzo.
