1 Euro Houses are particularly popular in Italy. The first project was born in Gangi, but later expanded to other municipalities on Sicily, in the Italian peninsula and world wide.

The project picked up the international attention with the success of Sambuca di Sicilia and Mussomeli. With the gained popularity, many non-Italian citizens realized their dream of living in Italy can become a reality.
